Yes blog fans, just when you thought it was safe to uncover your ears, we’re back, the entire gang, for further asaults on your ears with more banter and of course, the now obligatory slaughter of an innocent song.
What went on in Jiang Su over the national day holidays? Who is the new celebrity couple to overshadow “Brangelina”? Is WoAi back or didn’t he make it in time? Will he generously bring expensive yet surprisingly thoughful gifts all the way from England for his fellow podcasters? You’ll have to listen to find out the answers to all these questions and so much less.

Kim C, let us know if we need to upload one that plays at half speed for you!
October 15th, 2009 at 11:27 am
you guys have to do a song and a video clip one day
you never know it might go to #1
October 15th, 2009 at 11:32 am
@Mike – It’s not that we haven’t considered it but personally I worry it will distract listeners from what’s important, which is the sweet music we make.

This is a travesty. Yall’s strong British accents, coupled with my shitty laptop speakers = I can’t understand anything
October 15th, 2009 at 12:51 pm
@WoAi – oic. you are right again.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:47 pm
Ooh, oooh! I am off to download the latest edition. Yeay! And Dingle thanks for the offer, but I think I have got that sussed now – lol
October 15th, 2009 at 6:30 pm
I was dead keen to do a video clip at one point- but you know, then we didn’t.
Jill- I think the problem must be on your end, I can understand my accent just fine.
October 15th, 2009 at 9:06 pm
*stands and applauds* Bravo!
Excellent show, I don’t what that shat was last week, but you blokes have still got it!…”Hello! I’m back from London”….”awww shit”… ROFL. “its all your middle aged housewives”… friggin hilarious (for the record I am not a housewife)
The song, another classic, the dialogue was all clear on my end, and I about pissed myself in laughter (feeling a bit inside the gag) when I heard WoAi’s phone ring. Classic Go3 moment!
I think I realize what the last two episodes were missing… WoAi, and specifically the nonstop breaking of WoAi’s dos pelotas.
I can drive to any divebar here in town and listen to a couple of drunks slur stories about fingerbangin’, but this is the kind of magic I come to expect from the G03!

“The 68th album by the Gang of 3 represents a return to their roots more than anything else. Quite what their roots were in the first place is beyond me. Swiss James has no roots to speak of for sure. Rumours that Shopgirl will be launching her own rival podcast to combat the really rather not entirely nice at all comments by the Gang of 3 were uncomfirmed at the time of going to press.”

I can’t understand anything
This could be seen as a positive thing jill!
October 15th, 2009 at 10:46 pm
No update of the Queen?
October 15th, 2009 at 11:07 pm
@David – love it ! – lol
you guys should have a radio show with people calling in ! – lol
October 16th, 2009 at 4:19 am
@Jill – Sorry you can’t understand our accents although you seemed to understand me perfectly last night so I guess it’s James and Dingle that are the problem! Oh and thanks for saving my life last night and for the first time comment!
@Kim C – So? What’s the verdict?
@Hopfrog – Have you ever considered a career in podcast reviewing? Yours are always so well crafted and spot on, much like my blog posts, it’s as if we were the same person! I too thought that Dingle muttering “SHIT” under his breath was very convincing. It’s ALMOST as if he was truly disappointed that I had showed up. And of course, I didn’t hear that at the time of recording so it was a genuine surprise when I listened to the podcast.
I really had no idea what was coming when James said he had your number and was going to call you up. I am wondering what YOUR reaction was when you heard him dialing “your” number.
And of course, you’re right, without WoAi as a doormat / punching bag, the podcast just isn’t quite right. I am happy to provide this service and having my “cojones” trampled on for entertainment’s sake.
@David – I still love your “album review” format please do keep it up.
@Anthony – Sorry we can’t have people calling in because then you’d know our numbers and we’re all very private people, much like David Letterman (used to be!).
October 16th, 2009 at 4:51 am
@woai, you are, but swiss james isn’t – lol
October 16th, 2009 at 7:30 am
To be honest i preferred the previous two podcasts. When will the elderly one be going on holiday again?
October 16th, 2009 at 8:00 am
@WoAi, Well we’ve never been seen at the same place together or have posted at the same time…. hmmmm. Though I don’t think even your harshest ‘cojone breakers’ would accuse you of having these extended conversations with yourself to provide cover. I suppose the obvious answer then is that great minds think alike.
I must embarrassingly admit (even though I knew there was no way he had my phone number) that I did a double take at the phone for a split second when that gag was going down. Thought the whole thing was rather brilliant. Clipped us both with one shot.
Let me also agree that your blogs are well crafted and spot on, thats why I follow. Why in the world is a yank in Vegas following the blog of a Brit expat in Shanghai? Its good stuff, thats why. In anticipation of a move to China I started following a plethora of expat blogs so I could get an idea of what to expect. Due to time constraints I had to axe about 20 of them from my blogroll and kept the 10 best. Even though Shanghai will not be my destination, I still follow yours and SHE because they are top shelf. Swiss and Dingle also put out excellent blogs, brilliant blogs really, I just wish I had more time.
Any comedic team worth their salt needs a good punchin’ bag. It takes a brave and self-confident man to take that abuse on a weekly basis, so WoAi, let me salute you sir.
October 16th, 2009 at 8:08 am
Prof H Go / Swiss James – You shaddap!
October 16th, 2009 at 8:18 am
@Hopfrog – I think anyone in your situation would have wondered if only for a split second, whether it could possibly be true that Swiss had somehow tracked down your number, so your reaction wasn’t too unexpected.
When is your move to China? I have to admit, I find it impressive you stick with these blogs for so long not being in China. Even my friends back home don’t follow the blog as it really doesn’t captivate the interest if someone isn’t here to relate to the stuff we talk about. SHE of course is a great and prolific blogger too.
We have another friend who is usually the target of all the jokes (mainly as he’s American) but as he’s not a blogger, that job of ball breakee seems to have fallen to me.
Anyway, thanks for the praise, don’t let me stop you, keep it up!
October 16th, 2009 at 9:51 am
welcome back WoAi!!
And no comments on this episode! Don’t ask why!
October 16th, 2009 at 10:32 am
Loved the podcast, but wonder what you have against middle aged housewives…
Very much enjoyed the whole Hopfrog segment – classic comedy. I also liked the new Dingle jingle! That cracked me up.
The pace of the podcast was a little slower than normal, but that was probably due to the adjustments I made to the output speed last week. After 7 weeks and 2x speed, it took some getting used to.
BTW: Whatever happened to the food – did it turn up?
And please explain the fairy liquid in Tommy\’s water…
October 16th, 2009 at 11:14 am
Kim C – Thanks for the positive feedback. I honestly think the enforced one month break was good for the comedy factor as I felt we were all fresh and funnier than normal. I guess the other 2 had a whole month to think up new ways to poke fun at me as well.
Tommy was in the kitchen drinking water from my mug which was in the sink. He LOVES to drink water from anywhere EXCEPT his own bowl. But I am aware of this, so I always make sure the exposed water is just water and not washing up liquid for example.
The food turned up, we stopped recording and then carried on after we finished eating. Needless to say, what we discussed during the meal was not fit for broadcast!
And I think the middle aged references are a dig at me, not you listeners.
October 16th, 2009 at 12:23 pm
@Hopfrog – I still follow yours and SHE because they are top shelf.
Is WoAi really sexy enough to be on the top shelf though? I suppose he could offer something to the younger female. What do you say, girls?
