Home Sweet Home

The annual family Christmas eve lunch at The Ivy

After missing Christmas in London last year, it’s great to be back home to enjoy time with the family once again.

As usual, I’m binging on all the food that’s hard to find back in Shanghai after being deprived for almost a year and a half.

My mother is a bit concerned about all the unhealthy stuff I’ve been eating since I arrived, so I have to remind her that I’m only here for 2 weeks and it’s not like I eat this type of crap every day of the year!

Merry Christmas everyone, wherever you may be.

    Like you eat healthy stuff when you are away from home? :P

  2. WoAi says:

    @China Doll – I certainly eat less unhealthy foods when I’m in Shanghai and way more vegetables simply because they’re available. So, yes!

  3. China Doll says:

    Good for you!
    I am indulging myself now as well

    Nobody eats properly at Christmas- my breakfast is not normally 3 After Eights and a cup of tea!

    Hmmmm …… Pork Pies ……

    My god that full English looks good !!! Going back to the UK in a couple of weeks for work and I intend to have one everyday

  7. WoAi says:

    @Byron – Yes, I did stuff myself with pork pies amongst other things.

    @NP – I’m envious. I had this about 5 times in 8 days or something silly. It’s mainly the sausages that I crave as we can get most other things in Shanghai.

    @Swiss James – I love After Eights!
